Become a Certified L4 S+C Coach

The next qualification for serious PTs

Autumn intake now open - Limited spaces available on practical workshops

Most Personal Trainers can write a programme. Far fewer can periodise a full block for an athlete, a team or a performance-focused client — and hold the qualification to prove it.

The Level 4 Certificate in Strength and Conditioning is the qualification that closes that gap. Regulated by Focus Awards (Ofqual) and built for trainers who already hold a Level 3 Diploma, it gives you the underpinning science and the coaching ability to programme for strength, power and athletic performance with confidence.

It’s delivered blended, so it fits around your clients. You’ll work through the theory at your own pace on our online learning platform — video lectures and study materials you complete before you arrive — then apply it in person at our practical workshops, coached in a working facility rather than a classroom.

By the end, you’ll be able to design and deliver periodised S&C programmes for individual athletes, teams and serious clients — and position yourself well beyond standard Personal Training.

Graduate Reviews

Strength & Conditioning graduates

Coaches who've completed our Level 4 Strength & Conditioning certification, in their own words.

After completing my degree in sport and exercise science last year, I was ready to take on the challenge and learn more about strength and conditioning. The L4 S&C course provided by Uni Learning is challenging but highly rewarding. The tutors are highly knowledgeable and have provided excellent insight into the practical application of strength and conditioning. The practical sessions were very interesting, informative and great for skill development. In the future I plan on gaining UKSCA accreditation, and this course has put me in an excellent place to do so. Overall, I highly recommend Uni Learning — the tutors I've worked with have all been incredibly professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I've thoroughly enjoyed every course I've completed with Uni Learning and will definitely use them again for further CPD.

The blended learning method of completing courses is a great way to cover things at your own pace. If you already have a job and want to balance qualifications, you can jump in and out of the work you submit as part of your course, which makes things really easy to keep on top of.

Being a Level 4 S&C Coach on top of my other qualifications will add real value to McNally Fitness and our members! This course further developed my knowledge and skills to help advance our members in their training — injury prevention, cardiovascular endurance, strength training, speed development, agility, plyometric training, testing and so much more. It also gives me the opportunity to work closely with elite athletes in preparing them for competition, something I'm really excited about for the future. It was an extremely in-depth course, but I'm a fitness geek and I loved every bit of it!
